The painting of wish fulfilling gem on fire, symbolizes free of poverty and destructive emotion since the gem possesses the power of fulfilling wishes without any difficulty. The lotus symbolizes the chen-re-szig, the lord of compassion. The lotus is uncontaminated even though it grows in muddy waters. Like the lotus, Songtsen Gampo the manifestation of Chen-Re-Szig having the power of removing sins and obstructions from sentient himself, lives in this worldly life but doesn’t have any of afflictions and delusions. As a whole, the great Dharma king Songtsen Gampo ruled Tibet for the benefit of Tibet and Tibetan with genuine love and compassion.
