Project Synopsis:

Another fundamental activity in TCV schools is the Tibet-Our-Country project that has taken a firm root in TCV schools. This project is created to develop an understanding and appreciation of who we are as Tibetans– our culture, our language, and our way of life, our worldview, our history, our customs, our patriotism and a host of other elements that go into being a Tibetan.
This year we have focused the project on“Middle Way Approach”- a peaceful way to solve Tibet's issue. As perceived, we are definite that our students have gained a clear understanding of this approach, and are confident enough of this approach we believe. During the week long program, our students were involved in different activities, such as project display, debate, open quiz, Tselnyi, documentary show on “Middle Way Approach”, teacher's talk etc. We also had many special Tibetan dishes such as Tsampa, Sha, Logo Momo, Butter tea, etc... .

Project Goals:

  1. To develop a sound understanding of Tibetan identity and culture
  2. To develop character and moral values as stressed in our culture
